MOSQUITOES + TICKS

MOSQUITOES + TICKS

Tick & Mosquito Season Doesn’t Have To Suck

Mosquitoes and ticks don’t have to be an inevitable part of summer (and even fall!) as you might think. While it can be difficult to eliminate these insects everywhere, Pest-End’s proven outdoor control techniques have your yard on lockdown with as much as a 90% population reduction.

Our mosquito and tick control addresses both major species of backyard biters. While both species feast on blood, ticks latch on for the long haul. Mosquitoes, on the other hand, draw blood quickly and fly away.

Regardless of how they attack, both mosquitoes and ticks can spread disease—and cutting them down in and around your yard will help keep you, your family, your pets, and your guests safe.

What Makes These Bloodsuckers Dangerous

Both Mosquitoes & Ticks Spread Disease

Believe it or not, mosquitoes are classified as the most dangerous animal on the planet. That’s because more people get sick and die as a result of mosquito bites each year than all other animal attacks combined. Mosquitoes carry and spread diseases such as Zika, West Nile, dengue fever, and malaria, as well as regional viruses—like the one for eastern equine encephalitis.

Ticks Carry A Special Weapon

Ticks bite humans far less frequently, but they’re also responsible for the spread of a particularly frightening germ: Lyme disease. Left untreated, Lyme disease can result in neurological and cardiac symptoms and, in extreme cases, death. Besides Lyme disease, ticks can also carry Rocky Mountain spotted fever, anaplasmosis, and many more.

These Biters Aren’t Choosy About Their Dwellings

Ticks are known to take up residence anywhere—from tall grasses to high above the ground in trees around your property. Mosquitos, too, will take advantage of ideal conditions wherever they can find them, as long as there is at least an inch of standing water to lay their eggs in.

Our Mosquito & Tick Control Program

Each year, we treat hundreds of properties throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine to help keep mosquitoes and tick threats at bay. Our communities can breathe easier as they enjoy their yards all season.

Our tick and mosquito protection program includes monthly treatments throughout the active season, but we also offer a maximized tick and mosquito program with two treatments per month if you’d prefer a more aggressive approach.

Throughout the season, our experienced technicians may make individualized recommendations on ways to further reduce the pest populations on your property. These might include:

  • Eliminating standing water
  • Trimming grass and shrubs
  • Planting mosquito-repelling vegetation
  • Installing insect trappers or zappers
