  • Coloring is blackish or brownish
  • Have 30-90 plus pairs of legs

  • Approximately 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch in length
  • Powder-like dust that usually comes from old wooden beams can be evidence of a powder post beetle infestation

  • Adults are very small, flat, brown beetles about 1/8 inch long
  • Have 6 teeth sticking out each side of their prothorax
  • Attack finely ground pastas, grains, chocolate, etc.

  • Coloring is silvery to gun metal

  • Mottled gray-ish brown in color

  • Characterized by the smell they emit when squished
