  • Usually found near moisture in the kitchen and bathrooms
  • Most active in the spring and fall

  • Colonies are found in small mounds of dirt
  • Feed on greases, pet foods and most sweet materials
  • Reproductive Carpenter Ants have wings

Citronella Ants

Citronella Ants

  • Named because of the scent they emit after they are squished
  • Approximately 4-4.5 mm long w/ 12 segmented antennae
  • Swarmers are twice the size of the workers
  • Usually found in gardens, under concrete slabs and large rocks and along foundations
